1. Who we are
Welcome to chiikawacharacters.com, an independent, fan-made website dedicated to Chiikawa (ちいかわ), the beloved series created by the Japanese artist who works under the name Nagano. We are fans first. This site began as a simple wish: to have one cozy, easy-to-read place where newcomers and longtime followers can meet the characters, learn how the series grew and share the joy it brings.
We are not the creator, a publisher, a studio or a licensed partner. Everything here is written by fans, for fans, as an informational and celebratory resource.
2. Our mission
Our mission is to make Chiikawa easy to understand and easy to love. We want a first-time visitor to leave knowing who the main characters are, what the series is about and where to enjoy the official work. We want a longtime fan to leave smiling at a pairing, a fact or a profile they had not thought about in a while.
Along the way we aim to stay kind, accurate and respectful, which fits the gentle spirit of the series.
3. What you will find on this website
The site is organized around a few simple ideas:
- Character profiles: a tappable gallery with a profile for each featured character, including personality tags, role, vibe, what they are known for and a just-for-fun fan meter.
- Friendship corner: short write-ups on pairings that fans love to talk about.
- Story and themes: a plain-language look at what makes the series special, including friendship, courage, hard work and the joy of good food.
- Timeline: a brief journey from the first small comics online to the worldwide fan favorite it is today.
- Fun facts and FAQ: quick answers to the questions newcomers ask most often.
4. Why Chiikawa?
Chiikawa is a series about small creatures with big feelings. The art is soft and simple, but the stories treat fear, kindness, effort and friendship with real sincerity. That mix of comfort and honesty is why people of all ages connect with it, and why so many fans draw, craft, collect and write about it.
Our profiles and pairings try to capture that feeling: gentle, playful and warm, without taking the characters too seriously.
5. How we create our content
Every page is written in our own words. We do our best to keep information accurate, but a few things on this site are clearly opinion or entertainment, such as the fan meter bars, the character vibes and the pairing descriptions. These are fan interpretations, not official statements.
- We write original text rather than copying from official sources or other websites.
- We review pages when we notice mistakes and when new official information becomes available.
- We keep a clear line between facts and fan opinions.
- We welcome corrections. If you spot an error, please tell us at info@chiikawacharacters.com.
6. Our relationship with the creator and rights holders
Chiikawa, its characters, names, logos and artwork belong to their creator and respective rights holders. We have no affiliation with them. We respect their work and their rights, and we encourage everyone to support the series through official channels.
If you want to read, watch or buy, please look for official publishers, official streaming services and licensed retailers. Doing so supports the people who make the series possible. See our Disclaimer and Terms and Conditions pages for the full details.
7. Our values
- Respect: for the creator, the characters and every visitor.
- Kindness: the community around Chiikawa is welcoming, and we want this site to be too.
- Honesty: we are a fan site, and we say so clearly on every page.
- Accessibility: we try to keep the site readable, easy to navigate and friendly on phones and computers.
- Privacy: we collect as little information as we can. Read our Privacy Policy to learn more.
8. Join the community
